Borosilicate Lamp-working, also know as glassblowing:
4 hours HANDS ON class w/ instructor/apprentice demonstration and assistance.
In this beginner glassblowing class, we start with cold borosilicate rods and heat them using a bench torch. Students are taught essential fundamentals and how to properly manipulate molten glass into either sculptural objects or functional glass art. In this class you will be pushed to think outside the box, and to create things you never knew possible! We will create gathers, discs and add color making one of a kind glass pendents & more! All finished glass pieces are the students to keep. We also have a small gift shop area loaded with glass art, hand blown marbles, pendents, hats hoodies and more!

Get your intro course done with bead making! In this short 2 1/2hr class, we cover studio safety, (some) basics of flame-working, then get straight to making beads! In this torch-time focused class, you will learn how to prep, decorate and finish beautiful mandrel beads in no time! This class is super fun and easy, with one-on-one instruction, so you’ll get all the attention!

Making your art beautiful is what this class is all about! We will talk about glass colors & how flame setting and chemistry effects them. Talk about what colors like to boil & how to encase them, which ones are buttery smooth and which ones are staples in the glassblowing community. Class is one on one with master instructor to give you the attention you need!
What you get- the knowledge needed to start a successful glassblowing adventure of your own without wasting a bunch of time making common mistakes! Torch time is the focus here but we will talk about the important things too.
